This animal is called the red-lipped batfish and they are normally found around the Galapagos Islands. No one is really sure as to why the fish has those bright lips. Most scientists think it’s to attract a mate. The fish sticks its tongue out of its ruby red lips often, just like me when I’m out at the bars. I don’t know how anyone couldn’t love this animal with its penis-shaped horn and its constant frown. It also looks like it has a nice 5 o’clock shadow. This fish doesn’t even swim, it walks on the ocean floor, which I can’t blame it because swimming is tiring. Luckily for the batfish, it’s of no commercial interest for fisheries. So if you’re ever around the Galapagos Islands by Peru keep a look out for this glamorous red-lipped fish.
